Experience the World Famous San Diego Zoo from an exclusive and unique perspective!
By special arrangement, you have the opportunity to observe the Zoo from "behind-the-scenes" where you'll learn about special projects like the breeding of endangered species access to elephant, giraffe or rhino barns, and the camel yard. This program is narrated and conducted on a private, open-air bus by one of the Zoo's knowledgeable and friendly education staff.
Since 1916 the San Diego Zoo has been one of the most popular and respected Zoos in the world. Its collection of animals is extensive and the research and breeding programs sponsored and operated by the Zoo are internationally acclaimed. This is a great opportunity to experience parts of the Zoo not usually available to the public.
Time: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
The Californian is a replica of the 1847 Revenue Cutter C.W. Lawrence that patrolled the coast of California enforcing federal law during the gold rush. The Revenue Cutter Service became the United States Coast Guard in 1915.
The Californian was built from the ground up in 1984 at Spanish Landing in San Diego Bay. In July 2003, the Californian was named the official tall ship of the State of California. She is the only ship to carry this prestigious title.
The Californian has played host to thousands of adventure travelers, sailing enthusiasts, students and history buffs up and down the West coast. She has also made voyages to Hawaii, Mexico and the East coast of the United States.
Time: approximately 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
As one of Southern California's finest golf clubs, Steele Canyon has been awarded Golf Digest's Four Star Rating, one of only three golf clubs so honored in San Diego County. The 27-hole championship course was personally designed by Gary Player with respect and appreciation for the natural beauty of the terrain.
Each of the three nines offers a distinct environment and type of play for all levels of golfers with the rugged Canyon Course's dramatic shot-making challenges and breathtaking elevations, the Ranch Course winding through the fields of a working ranch and the Meadow Course stretching along the valley floor with beautiful woodlands and streams. Fairways are extra wide, but greens are small, demanding subtle accuracy off the tees. Par: 72 , Yardage: 5,059; 6,527; 6,658.
Note: Golf Club rental is $55.00 each.
