Authoria Unveils 2003 Board Of Advisors

Announces Helen Drinan, Past President and CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management, as Newest Member

Waltham, MA – February 5, 2003 – 

Authoria, Inc., the world leader in personalized, Web-based human resource communication, today announced that Helen Drinan, past president and CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), has joined its Board of Advisors.  With this appointment, Drinan joins Bloom & Wallace Managing Partner Naomi Lee Bloom, International Papers former Vice President of Human Resources Jack Flynn, former Vice Chairman of Price Waterhouse Paul Goodstat, PeopleSoft Fellow Row Henson and former Accenture executive Bob Hunter as an Authoria Advisor. The Board of Advisors is managed by Authoria Executive Vice President Ganne DeSomery.

Drinan has over 20 years of experience in the HR industry. As president and CEO of SHRM, the world's largest association devoted to human resources she developed a new vision, strategy and implementation plan for the successful, member-driven organization. Prior to joining SHRM, Drinan held the position of executive vice president, Human Resources, at BankBoston Corporation. In this position she directed a staff of 200 professionals and was the top human resource executive for the Corporation.

Drinan is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR), an organization which recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves through their leadership in the broad field of Human Resources. In 1998, Drinan was the recipient of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and Ad Club of Boston diversity recognition award. She has also been a recipient of the Phyllis Rappaport Alumnae Achievement Award, awarded annually by the Simmons Graduate Program in Management. Drinan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
