Authoria’s Elizabeth Ricci Named one of Mass High Tech’s 2005 Women to Watch

Award Recognizes New England’s Top Ten Women in Engineering and Innovation

Waltham, MA – January 31, 2005 –

Mass High Tech, the Journal of New England Technology, has announced that it has selected Elizabeth Ricci, vice president of engineering at Authoria, Inc., the leading provider of integrated strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, as one of the Mass High Tech Women to Watch for 2005.

Mass High Tech is a respected weekly that has covered the New England technology scene for more than two decades. Its second annual Women to Watch event will be held Feb. 17 at the Arlington St. Ritz-Carlton in Boston.

“In choosing the ten 2005 Mass High Tech Women to Watch, we were looking for leaders who think creatively, have developed new opportunities in commercializing technology, and have served as strong mentors for other women in technology,”  said Jim Malone, editor of Mass High Tech.

“I’m honored to be included in such a remarkable group of innovators,” Ricci said. “In a competitive global economy, it’s essential that we don’t just develop engineering talent from half our population. These women are actively working to make sure that women are well represented in the next generation of technology leaders.”

As vice president of engineering, Ricci is responsible for delivering Authoria’s complete suite of HR products and manages three engineering sites on two continents.

“Elizabeth is a critical member of the Authoria team and her work been vital to maintaining the momentum and market leadership we’ve achieved,” said Tod Loofbourrow, president and CEO of Authoria. “Her mentorship of the engineers who report to her and her close ties to the engineers she’s mentored at other organizations ensure that Authoria’s bench of future engineering leaders is deep. We’re extremely proud that she was chosen as a Mass High Tech Woman to Watch.”
