Authoria Receives Positive Results in META Group Study

Authoria and AIM Both Receive Strong ‘Vendor Attraction’ Ratings

Waltham, MA – July 19, 2004 –

Authoria, Inc., a leader in strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced the company and Advanced Information Management, Inc. (AIM, subject of the May 10, 2004 acquisition announcement) received high marks from META Group in its recently completed “The State of Workforce Management Solutions 2004, A Multiclient Study” addressing Workforce Management (WFM.) The study examined 13 categories of WFM and assessed user perceptions of the vendors and service providers in this market.

“The placement of both companies as leaders in their respective 'Attraction Indexes' further demonstrates that this was a merging of two leaders,“ said Tod Loofbourrow, president and CEO of Authoria. “The combination of Authoria and AIM delivers a powerful, integrated suite of enterprise pay-for-performance solutions helping companies achieve their business goals.”

When asked to indicate which vendors they would consider for Performance Management, AIM’s solution (now Authoria Performance Advisor) was being considered more often than other non-core HRMS vendors by the respondents in the Performance Management sub-segment.*  In addition, Authoria received a similar placement of its Authoria Employee Advisor in the Knowledge Management Solutions Attraction Index.  The study cites Authoria’s robust product and blue-chip customer reference list as well as noting that the firm is diversifying.

In addition, the results of the study support other major Authoria initiatives. The META Group study points out that while in-house installed and managed implementation is the most common approach for current WFM deployments there is growing interest in alternative system management approaches. For example, Authoria Choice, announced in February 2004, offers several alternatives for the purchase of Authoria solutions, including subscription licensing, application management, and hosted production services. Authoria Choice is designed to provide Authoria’s customers with a wide range of purchase options to fit customer requirements while leveraging Authoria’s domain expertise and resources.
