Authoria Receives Patent For Human Resource Knowledge Modeling & Delivery System

Authoria, Inc., the world leader in personalized, Web-based human resource communication, today announced it has been awarded a United States patent (Patent No. 6,505,183) for its human resource knowledge modeling and delivery system, which protects the core functionality of Authoria's industry-leading software products. The Authoria HR product suite, for example, utilizes this innovative knowledgebase technology to dynamically generate personalized answers to vital questions for an organizations employees and managers. The patent granted to Authoria is the first to issue from several pending patent applications for Authoria's market-leading solutions.

There are three primary parts to Authoria's knowledge modeling and delivery system. First, Authoria's product includes pre-configured, parameterized knowledge models on HR subjects that ship as part of the core product. Second, these models are configurable through an authoring interface to capture the specific plan, policy and life event provisions of the implementing organization. Third, personal data are accessed from existing human resource management systems (HRMS). This threefold partitioning delivers a system that can be quickly configured to meet the needs of an individual organization, yielding detailed and accurate information for individuals within the organization in a cost-effective manner.
