Authoria Provides 5,500 CUNA Mutual Group Employees with Up-To-Date, Personalized Compensation Information

CUNA Mutual Group Expands Deployment of Authoria Employee Advisor

August 19, 2004 –

Authoria, Inc., a leader in strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced that CUNA Mutual Group, a worldwide provider of financial services to credit unions and their members, has rolled out Authoria’s Total Compensation Statements™, as part of Authoria’s integrated Employee Advisor™ solution. Authoria Total Compensation Statements provide CUNA Mutual employees with a personalized, up-to-the-minute picture of their entire compensation package, including all company benefits and plan offerings.

With Authoria Total Compensation Statements, CUNA Mutual can better communicate the variety, breadth and depth of benefits plans offered to its more than 5,500 employees worldwide. Employees now have immediate access to a personalized Web-based statement that provides them with information regarding their salary, health care benefits, retirement information and other offerings.

“CUNA Mutual believes that employees are the key to achieving business success through people excellence”, said Keith Williams, CUNA Mutual senior vice president of human resources. “Authoria’s Total Compensation Statements ensure that our employees understand that compensation is more than just salary, and that they have access to all of the great options that CUNA Mutual offers to them, including a variety of health care and retirement plans. Feedback has been incredibly positive as employees use Authoria Total Compensation Statements to learn more about what CUNA Mutual has to offer,” Williams said.

Prior to Authoria’s Web-based Total Compensation Statements, CUNA Mutual relied on paper-based compensation statements issued annually and produced in advance. These statements frequently would not reflect recent adjustments to compensation, including changes to salary, bonuses and benefits. When Authoria Total Compensation Statements were deployed, more than 25 percent of employees reviewed their current compensation information in the first 24 hours. Within the first two weeks that number jumped to more than 50 percent of employees.

“As employee retention and motivation are increasingly tied into overall company performance, it is critical that companies provide their employees with easy access to their total compensation,” said Tod Loofbourrow, CEO of Authoria. “With Authoria Total Compensation Statements, CUNA Mutual’s employees can quickly take advantage of all of the great benefits that CUNA Mutual offers, providing them with a more positive work-life experience.”
