Chicago, IL – October 15, 2008 –
Authoria, Inc. the leader in comprehensive talent management solutions, today announced that it has been singled out for exceptional praise in new research by Bersin & Associates, a research and advisory firm. In the report, titled The Essential Guide to Performance Management Systems, Authoria is one of only two solution providers identified as having "market-leading user experience" for both HR administrators, and managers and employees. In addition, Authoria is the only solution provider with "market-leading integration support" between performance management and both compensation and succession management.
According to Bersin & Associates, organizations cite performance-management initiatives as the "top priority" in their talent-management strategy. The new report predicts faster adoption of performance-management systems than any other aspect of talent management in the next few years, with a forecasted CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 35 percent leading to a $1.279 billion market in 2011.
In the study, Bersin & Associates analyzes the performance-management offerings of more than 25 solution providers, and correlates them to eight distinct "archetypes" of organizations that require performance-management solutions. Authoria is recommended for 5 of the 8 types of organization, a distinction it shares with only two other providers.
"At first glance, buyers will likely not see much difference among the more than 25 providers of employee performance management systems. In fact, there are several key differentiators. Two of the most important are the quality of the user experience for managers, employees, and administrators and the level of integration with other essential talent-management functions," said Leighanne Levensaler, director of talent management research for Bersin & Associates. "Authoria excels in both of these areas, with market-leading capabilities in both quality of the end-user's experience and the integration of performance management with compensation, succession management, and employee development. We recommend that Authoria's solutions be 'short-listed' by five of the eight organization types identified in our research."
In the report, Bersin & Associates also identifies other notable Authoria differentiators, including:
"As companies mature in their performance-management practices, they require both tighter integration of performance management with other strategic talent functions, and a simpler and more intuitive experience for users," said Tod Loofbourrow, Authoria Chairman and CEO. "We're delighted at the validation this research provides of Authoria's unique record of meeting both of these requirements, and thereby fueling the talent-management initiatives of the world's largest employers."
At the 11th annual HR Technology Conference and Expo being held this week at McCormick Place in Chicago, Chris Howard, Bersin & Associates vice president of research, will present a detailed summary of the research findings. The session, titled "What You Still Need to Learn About Performance Management," will be held Thursday October 16 at 11:00 a.m. (Central).
