Philadelphia, PA – May 20, 2008 –
At the WorldatWork 2008 Total Rewards Conference, Authoria, Inc., the leader in integrated talent management solutions, today announced that its customers McGraw-Hill and H&R Block will deliver featured presentations on harnessing compensation management for business impact. The conference takes place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, May 20-23.
With ever-increasing competition in the War for Talent, today's employers require more effective compensation strategies to reward and retain high-quality employees, and ultimately drive business success. Forward-thinking organizations are distributing responsibility and authority for compensation more broadly, to include line-of-business managers and HR generalists as well as compensation professionals. In addition, they are tying compensation much more closely to other talent-management functions, such as performance management, succession planning, and recruiting.
"To motivate and retain top talent, employers must be able to use compensation strategically, which requires technology that is intuitive and easy for line-of-business managers to use," said Tod Loofbourrow, Authoria Chairman and CEO. "Authoria's on-demand compensation solutions performed more than 5 million merit and incentive reviews in 2007, thanks to our strong focus on presenting relevant data in actionable form. This approach enables managers to make better compensation decisions, communicate them effectively to employees, and drive business success through improved engagement and retention."
Two WorldatWork sessions will feature Authoria customers presenting compensation initiatives that enable business managers to impact business results. The sessions are:
In both sessions, Authoria's Allan Wood will demonstrate new functionality in Authoria Compensation that directly supports the empowerment of business managers, within corporate guidelines. The new features include visibility for managers, during compensation planning, into vital employee information from other talent functions (such as performance ratings, promotion potential, or flight risk), thus enabling better-informed allocation of compensation; and the ability to navigate up and down organizational hierarchies within a compensation worksheet, so as to plan across different slices of the organization.
Authoria Compensation is an essential component of Authoria Talent Management, the first solution to provide HR professionals and business managers with single-point access to consistent data and core capabilities required by all strategic talent functions – including recruiting, performance management, compensation, and employee development. Leveraging a centralized "core," Authoria empowers HR professionals and business managers with easy access to essential information about employees, positions, hierarchies, and goals.
The latest enhancements to Authoria Talent Management will be displayed in Booth #503 at the conference.
