Waltham, MA – July 2, 2004 –
Authoria, Inc., a leader in strategic Human Capital Management (HCM), today announced that it has hired Michelle Roccia as vice president of human resources. Roccia is responsible for the development and implementation of Authoria’s human resources strategies, including the development of compensation and rewards programs, training and performance management, policies and procedures, as well as leading the company’s recruitment efforts.
"As a leading provider of HR solutions, it is essential that Authoria implement and maintain a leading edge HR program of our own,” said Tod Loofbourrow, president and CEO of Authoria. “We have to attract and retain top employees; we need to make sure every employee is committed and driving toward a common goal and we need to make sure each employee is compensated appropriately. As we talk about pay-for-performance initiatives with our customers, we need to be able to incorporate our own experience. In addition, our head of HR often serves as an informal sanity check and source of new product ideas, features and functionality.”
Most recently, Roccia served as vice president of human resources at Centive, a software and services company in the enterprise incentive management industry. Prior to Centive, Roccia was a regional director of Willmott Consulting Services, where she matched HR professionals with Massachusetts-based companies. Before joining Willmott, Roccia was vice president of human resources at the Boston Stock Exchange, one of the most technologically advanced regional equities exchanges in the United States. At the Boston Stock Exchange, Roccia successfully reorganized the company’s compensation program, while leading recruitment efforts.
“With the recent acquisition, it’s an exciting time to be joining the HR team at Authoria as the company welcomes so many new employees,” said Roccia. “Authoria places a great deal of emphasis on the success and impact of its own HR strategy and I look forward to being a part of this unique and successful company as we explore how to align employees around common goals.”
