Authoria Appoints Joseph Kaddis VP of Sales

Eighteen-Year Software Sales Veteran to Enhance Company's Customer Focus and Drive Business Growth in Rapidly Expanding Talent Management Market

Waltham, MA – January 12, 2009 –

Authoria, Inc., the market leader in comprehensive talent management software solutions, today announced the appointment of Joseph Kaddis, Jr. as vice president sales. With 18 years of enterprise software industry sales experience, the majority of which has been spent in high-growth companies including Microsoft and Hyperion, Mr. Kaddis brings a range of business development and corporate sales experience to this senior management post. He joins Authoria with a proven track record of success in developing product strategies, providing business solutions into a range of vertical markets, and building effective sales teams focused on account support and building demonstrable ROI. Mr. Kaddis will report directly to Authoria CEO and President Jim McDevitt.

In this position, Mr. Kaddis will work with Mr. McDevitt to develop compelling go-to-market strategies leveraging Authoria's industry leading Talent Management platform and Mr. Kaddis' experiences developing successful sales strategies targeting C-level executives at large enterprise customers.

"Obviously, these skills will be essential as we position Authoria to take advantage of the burgeoning Talent Management market," said Mr. McDevitt. "Most important, however, is Joe's deep understanding of the value proposition for customers in our segment. He has specific expertise in selling to the CFO and in presenting technology solutions as business solutions. He is experienced in gaining senior level buy-in and in elevating the decision-making within departments to the most strategic level."

Mr. Kaddis was most recently vice president of North American Sales and Business Development for Panorama Software where he was responsible for the overall management, strategic direction and growth of the company’s direct, technical and consulting sales teams. Prior to his time at Panorama Software, Mr. Kaddis served as director of financial services for North America at Hyperion (which was acquired by Oracle in April of 2007), where he managed revenues of more than $50 million. Among Mr. Kaddis' achievements at Hyperion was the conception, development and execution of a vertical go-to-market selling strategy and he earned the distinction of being both the top sales manager and the top worldwide sales director in revenue attainment. Mr. Kaddis began his career at Microsoft as a sales representative managing major accounts, including GE, Pepsi and GTE, among others, and was identified as North American Education Sales Representative of the year in 1992.

"With version 10 of its strong Talent Management Suite in place, with the operational expertise of Jim McDevitt and with the recent infusion of $8 million in new working capital from Bedford Funding, Authoria is well positioned to meet the increasing demands of the fast-growing Talent Management market," said Mr. Kaddis. "This is an exciting time to be joining the company, and I look forward to building our business by addressing the strategic requirements of our customers."

Mr. Kaddis received both a BA and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
