Authoria Advances Leadership Position in Talent Management in Second Half of 2007

Continues to Define the Standard for On-Demand Talent Management

Waltham, MA – March 31, 2008 –

Authoria, Inc., the leader in integrated talent management solutions, today announced impressive momentum in the second half of 2007 that strengthened the company's leadership position in talent management solutions for enterprises, and positioned the company for strong growth in 2008.

Reinforcing its standing as the premier provider of on-demand (or software-as-a-service) talent management, Authoria advanced along many dimensions of industry leadership, including new customer wins, industry awards, and the breadth of talent-management processes its solutions manage for customers. Highlights of the second half of 2007 included:

  • At the 10th Anniversary HR Technology Conference & Exposition, Authoria won the first-ever Integrated Performance and Recruiting Shootout – the most prestigious competitive evaluation in the world for HR solutions. The audience of more than 500 HR and technology professionals chose Authoria's solution in all three real-world scenarios, after witnessing live demonstrations from four competitors.
  • Authoria extended its dominant position among enterprises, with the addition of new customers including Alliant Energy, CSX Corporation, Hilton Grand Vacations, Hyatt Hotels, Lincoln Financial, McGraw-Hill Companies, United On-Line, and Sharp Healthcare.
  • Existing Authoria customers that expanded their investment in Authoria solutions included AT&T, Kaiser Permanente, MassMutual Financial Group, Philips-Van Heusen, and Starbucks Coffee Company.
  • Authoria Talent Management continued to engage HR professionals, business managers, employees, and candidates in record numbers, with:
    • Over a billion page views by customers in 2007
    • 14.4 million members of customers' private talent communities, at year-end
    • 5.8 million candidates processed in 2007
    • More than 5 million merit and incentive reviews completed in 2007
    • More than 4 million performance evaluations completed in 2007
    • More than 20,000 compensation plans modeled

In addition to industry accolades and achievements, 2007 was a year of tremendous growth and investment for Authoria. The company invested heavily in R&D – with a nearly 30-percent increase in the second half – to continue to enhance the customer experience and value. Product enhancements, delivered via regular quarterly updates to its Authoria Talent Management solution, drove more than 60-percent year-over-year growth in Authoria Recruiting customers, and nearly 30-percent year-over-year growth in revenue from Authoria Compensation in the second half of the year.

"We are extremely pleased that our focus and investment in advancing the industry's best platform for strategic talent management has been validated in every aspect of our business," said Tod Loofbourrow, Authoria Chairman and CEO. "This momentum is the culmination of our company's 'buy to build' strategy over the past 3+ years, acquiring leading franchises in core aspects of talent management, then investing heavily to develop a single, comprehensive talent management solution."
