Waltham, MA – April 18, 2005 –
Authoria, Inc., the leader in integrated strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, received a strong endorsement for its integrated suite of HCM solutions from its wide variety of customers at its seventh annual Authoria User Conference. The record-breaking conference—the premier user event in the industry dedicated to the strategic needs of HR professionals—was held at the Green Valley Ranch and Resort in Las Vegas.
Authoria broke a new record for attendance, with more than 300 attendees including over 250 customers, partners and prospects. The company continues to gain market share across all of its applications. Customers participated in sessions that covered all elements of the Authoria Advisor® Series, a powerful integrated suite of solutions for compensation management, succession planning, performance management, pay for performance, benefits and policy communication, compliance, and just-in-time coaching for managers and employees.
"Customers tell us that our user conference is the strongest event in the industry for sharing best practices around compensation, performance management, succession planning, employer and manager communication, and more," said Tod Loofbourrow, president and CEO of Authoria. "Our 200-plus enterprise customers want integrated solutions that are easy to use, and easy to implement—we consistently implement our on-demand applications in under 90 days."
Customers attended more than 40 interactive sessions across six tracks that covered high-level HR strategy, compensation and performance management, technical workshops, and employee and manager communication. Many of these sessions were led by Authoria customers, including Advance Auto Parts, American Family Insurance, Amgen Corporation, Baxter, Briggs & Stratton, Caterpillar, CUNA Mutual Group, Fluor Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, MetLife, PepsiAmericas, Progressive Insurance, Safeway, and Scotiabank.
"This year's conference further demonstrated why Authoria is a strategic partner, not simply a software vendor," said Marjory Buttrum, vice president, HR Systems, Scotiabank. "In addition to interesting content and presentations, we had access to great networking and peer learning opportunities. We were also able to meet with Authoria's senior management team and get a look at the company's product roadmap and other plans for the future. Authoria assembled a complete package, designed to help us deliver strategic applications that meet our business goals."
Authoria also recognized PepsiAmericas with Authoria “Legend-maker” status, an annual award that recognizes innovative use of Authoria products to solve compelling business challenges as PepsiAmericas did through its use of the complete suite of Authoria Advisor Series solutions.
"PepsiAmericas is honored to have been recognized by Authoria as an HR innovator," said Dana Sacks, vice president of compensation, benefits and HRIS, PepsiAmericas. "Winning the Legend Makers Award is not only a credit to our organization, but also to Authoria's ongoing support."
Keynote presentations featured James Holincheck of Gartner, one of the leading industry analysts in the human capital management industry, and Jamie Clarke, who discussed human potential as it related to his multiple attempts and ultimate success in reaching the summit of Mt. Everest.
"Once again, Authoria's user conference highlighted both its leadership role in the HCM space and the strength of its user community," said David Link, vice president of HR transformation, The Cedar Group. "I've personally attended all seven conferences and am continually impressed with Authoria's growth and innovation, and with the high quality of this key industry event."
