Tod Loofbourrow

Tod founded Authoria in 1997 and has served as CEO since the firm’s inception. Tod is responsible for the strategy, management and growth of Authoria, and has grown the software-as-a-service leader to over four million on-demand users at the world’s most competitive enterprises. Previously, he served as CEO of Foundation Technologies, a leading IT consulting firm for Global 2000 companies.

Tod came to high technology early, authoring his first of four books on technology at the age of 16. He taught at Harvard University for eight years, where he created and delivered the university’s first courses in Internet commerce and in knowledge-based systems. Tod has served on several boards of directors including Neuralware and Cyclists Fighting Hunger.

Tod received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University – where he served as editor-in-chief of the Harvard International Review – and has performed graduate work at both Harvard and Oxford University.

His passions include cycling for cancer research, competitive rowing, blues guitar, and building great companies.

Robert L. Castle

Bob Castle has more than 25 years of experience in general management and marketing in high tech companies in the data communications, networking and network application industries.

Most recently, he was President and CEO at Coriolis Networks, a leading provider of scalable optical network solutions. Prior to this, he was Chairman, CEO and President of VideoServer, the industry-leading supplier of multimedia conferencing servers used by over 80 percent of the videoconferencing industry. He was Senior VP of Marketing for FileNet, the company that defined and pioneered the document imaging industry. And he was also head of marketing and product management for Basic Four, a manufacturer of small business computers and Sycor, the pioneer in distributed data entry products.

Mr. Castle holds a Bachelor of Science (high honors) degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor.






Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper is a Partner of Union Square Partners, where he shares ultimate responsibility for the oversight of all investment and monitoring activities, with a particular focus on investments in the insurance and insurance services sectors. He currently serves as a director of several portfolio companies of Capital Z and IP.

Prior to co-founding Union Square in 1998, Mr. Cooper served in similar roles at IP and III. Prior to joining III, Mr. Cooper was an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group of Salomon Brothers, Inc.

As an experienced investor in the insurance industry, Mr. Cooper has developed an extensive network of contacts throughout the industry. In addition, he speaks at industry conferences as an expert on insurance company acquisitions and investments.

Mr. Cooper received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.





Chris Pacitti

Chris Pacitti joined Austin Ventures in 1999 and focuses on software investing. Previously, Chris was with TL Ventures, where he was a vice president. Prior to TL Ventures, Chris was a co-founder and chief operating officer of a technology start-up company that pioneered several industrial applications for a novel oxidizing chemistry.

Chris received his BA in economics from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Microsoft Venture Capital Advisory Board.















Peter Gyenes

Peter Gyenes has more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management positions within the computer systems and software industry.

Mr. Gyenes was formerly CEO of Informix Corporation and led the transition from Informix to Ascential (now part of IBM). Prior to Informix's acquisition of Ardent Software, Inc., he was chairman, president and CEO of Ardent, which he joined in 1996. Before joining Ardent, he was president and CEO of Racal InterLan, Inc. Previously, Mr. Gyenes served in executive sales, marketing, and general management positions at Prime Computer Inc., Encore Computer and Data General Corporation.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Gyenes held technical positions with Xerox Data Systems and IBM. He serves on the boards of Applix, Inc. (NASDAQ: APLX), Axis Computer Systems, Concerto Software (NASDAQ: CRTO) and the Massachusetts Software and Internet Council. Mr. Gyenes received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University.



Chip Drapeau

Chip Drapeau most recently served as President and CEO of MRO Software, which he sold to IBM in 2006. Mr. Drapeau joined MRO Software in 1982 and has held various roles within the organization across sales, support, research and development and product marketing before being named President and CEO in 1998.

As CEO, Drapeaus focus has been a driving force for MRO Softwares commitment to product excellence and superior customer service. MRO Software and its flagship Strategic Asset Management solution, MAXIMO, have received extensive industry recognition. MAXIMO is currently used by more than 10,000 customer companies and more than 260,000 end-users. Mr. Drapeau earned a BS in Economics from Tufts University.










Jit Saxena

Jit Saxena is CEO and Co-Founder of Netezza, the market leader in enterprise-class data warehouse applicances.

Previously, Saxena was founder, chairman and CEO of Applix Inc., a leading provider of analytical CRM software that he took public in 1994. While at Applix, Saxena guided the company to a leadership position in the CRM market and achieved an eight-fold increase in market value subsequent to the IPO. Through his vision, the company was continually an innovator in new high growth markets.

Prior to founding Applix, Saxena was a senior director at Data General where he was responsible for the development of the company's software products. At Data General, he held several other senior management positions and built a successful development organization that introduced industry-leading software in many categories.

Saxena earned an MS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, an MBA from Boston University and a B. Tech (EE) from the Indian Institute of Technology (Mumbai). In July 2003, he was named an Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year and was recently named a Mass High Tech All-Star.

Mark Hastings

Mark Hastings is head of the US Merchant bank, the private equity arm of CIBC World Markets. The Merchant Bank has a broad investment mandate in technology, media, healthcare, business services, consumer, and industrial.

Prior to joining CIBC Capital Partners, Mr. Hastings was a General Partner at BCI Partners, a private equity firm, with $800 million under management. Prior to that Mr. Hastings spent several years at Edison Ventures. Present and prior investments include: Adaytum Software (acquired by Cognos), Corillian (Nasdaq: CORI), Data Labs (acquired by Lucent), Fuelquest, RenewData, Seisint (acquired by LexisNexis, member of Reed Elsevier Group plc), Telelogic (TLOG), Tylink (acquired by Sync Research), Viewlocity (acquired by Synquest), Verid, Visual Networks (Nasdaq: VNWK) and Yantra (acquired by Sterling Commerce).

Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from Colorado College and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
